I was sober for years—and still miserable.
I didn’t drink, but I didn’t have Me. I lived for everyone else; all push, all performance—fixing, solving, surviving. Masculine energy on overdrive. Go, go, go. Do, do, do. And eventually, my body shut down.
Like most of us, I’d been taught that selflessness was holy. That giving until I was empty was noble. But really—it was self-abandonment dressed up as virtue. Shame whispered that wanting more was selfish. And I believed it.
This journal is the tool I wish I’d had then: an unapologetic invitation to call 'selfishness' sacred.
